  • Appointments

For routine gynecologic care or injections, please schedule your appointment several days or weeks in advance. Our office may call you the day before your scheduled appointment to remind you of the day and time of your visit. Because of the sensitive nature of some issues, if you prefer not to receive a reminder call, please notify the receptionist when you are making your appointment.

If you need to cancel an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can make that appointment available for another patient.

During off hours, if an emergency arises or you think you are in labor, please dial our office telephone number to reach our doctor on call through our answering service. If possible, please wait for the doctor to return your call before going to the hospital.

  • Emergencies

Your emergency or problem will be handled as rapidly as possible. We will often be able to see you in one of our offices on the same day or in the hospital emergency room if necessary. Please call the office before going to the emergency room even if it is after office hours. Our answering service will contact the physician on call, who will promptly return your call. We can sometimes manage problems over the phone, saving you the time and trouble of an unnecessary visit to the emergency room.

  • Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express as well as cash and personal checks. If your visit is covered by health insurance and/or Medicare, we can file your insurance claim if you bring your plan's membership card. Unfortunately, we will not be able to see you without a current membership card. If you are covered by more than one insurance plan, bring a membership card for each plan. Feel free to discuss fees and payment at any time. If an unforeseen financial problem interferes with your ability to pay your bill, please notify the Billing Department promptly.

  • Prescriptions and Renewals

If you have been seen in our office within the past year, many prescriptions including birth control pills can be renewed by telephone. When you call, have your pharmacy number available. Our practice policy is to not prescribe stronger pain medications, including narcotics, over the telephone. You will be asked to come in for an exam if you require these stronger medications.

  • Telephone Calls

Our office staff has been trained to answer many routine questions. A physician or nurse practitioner will return your call as soon as possible for those questions that require a response from one of our medical professionals. Many health problems share similar symptoms and are therefore difficult to diagnose accurately by phone. For your protection, we may ask you to come in for an evaluation before medication can be prescribed.

  • Waiting Time in the Office

It is the nature of our practice that unexpected emergencies will arise. While we are assisting other patients with emergency situations, we regret that our scheduled appointments may be delayed. Please be assured that we will spend the necessary time to fully evaluate you and answer any questions you may have. We apologize for any inconvenience should your appointment be delayed and will do our best to keep you informed of the reason for any prolonged delay.

  • Your Health Care Team

Our support staff is friendly, courteous, and eager to help you during your visit to our office. During regular business hours, our office manager is available to answer any questions you might have. A billing specialist is also available to help answer financial questions. Our experienced nurse practitioners are available to take care of routine visits and minor problems. If you desire, a physician is always available for immediate consultation should the need arise. For medical emergencies and more complex problems, you will always be seen by one of our doctors.
